Global and Manchester Airport add new digital billboards
Global and Manchester Airport have added a new digital billboard package inside Terminal 2, including a 4K HD Sky Screen and 15 premium displays, as the airport leans harder into airport DOOH with reach claims above 32 million passengers a year.

The move
Global says the install adds a five-metre-wide 4K HD Sky Screen with full-motion and dynamic capabilities, plus 15 premium small and large-format displays across Terminal 2. The article says the new screens take Manchester Airport inventory to 68 digital screens and 31 classic posters, including The Wonderwall, which it describes as Europe’s largest advertising site in an airport. The rollout matters because it turns a fresh terminal rebuild into new inventory for advertisers, not just a passenger-experience upgrade.
Market signal
This is a premium place-based media move, not a volume play. Airports give advertisers dwell time, motion-led creative and a retail-adjacent audience, and Global’s own airport-media research frames the channel as a premium brand-building environment. Here, that pitch is strengthened by Terminal 2’s scale: the terminal now handles over 75% of Manchester Airport’s passenger traffic and serves more than 50 airlines and 200+ destinations.
